It also supports WP2’s work on land fragmentation mapping in extensive agricultural systems.
Europe eats around 813,000 tonnes of avocados a year, and 98% of them are imported — mostly from Peru. This case study measures the environmental impact across different Peruvian biomes, applies WP3‘s methodological advances to identify the key hotspots, and adds logistics scenarios to show how supply chains affect the picture.
